It can be an awful worry when your child is ill. It can also be very awkward with work commitments etc.. to stay off with your child. Unfortunately though the main cause of bugs spreading around schools is when children are kept at school or they return too quickly when ill.
The school policy, following expert advice, is that a child who is sick should not return until 48 hours after the sickness has ended. If your child is away from school please telephone the office as soon as possible to report them absent. If your child has a reason for not doing PE. or swimming please remember to let us know when they have recovered enough to begin physical activity again.

The following document contains good practical advice, designed for schools and parents, about a wide range of contagious diseases.

If your child needs to have medication at school please hand it in to the office, where you will be asked to fill out a short form.
